The shooting of the film began at Mumbai locations where producer has to increase the security because of gathering of unexpectedly huge crowd.

The music rights of the film are acquired by Sony Music Entertainment. The music was to be composed by Salim-Sulaiman but they have walked out in the middle of the film thus the producers are in search of a New Composer.

Phata Poster Nikhla Hero is an upcoming Bollywood action comedy film starring Shahid Kapoor and Ileana D'Cruz. The film will be produced by Ramesh Taurani of Tips Music Films and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, who earlier directed films such as Ghayal(1990), Andaz Apna Apna (1994), Khakee (2004) and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (2009). The film is set to release on 20 September 2013.

Plot

The film follows the story of Vishwas Rao, an aspiring actor mistaken as a super cop.Salman Khan has made a special apperance in this movie,in which shahid plays a fan of salman.

Development

The film has often been termed as a full on "mirchi" commercial entertainer. Apart from the casting and genre, the makers have refused to divulge into further details.

Casting

In early August 2012, it was confirmed by director Rajkumar Santoshi that he has offered the film to actor Shahid Kapoor and that talks have been on for the film for the previous six months. Soon after, when Kapoor was asked, he said that he has not yet signed the film, but is on the verge of doing so. It was earlier reported that actress 

Diana Penty has been signed as the female lead, although the producers have stated that they have signed on Ileana D'Cruz for the role instead as she would be perfectly suited for the role. Actress Padmini Kolhapure has been signed on to play the role of Kapoor's mom in the film. It was later confirmed that newcomer Deepika Kamainah will play an important role alongside Shahid Kapoor and Ileana D'Cruz. The rest of the cast is yet to be confirmed.

Filming

The film was expected to begin filming in November 2012, after Kapoor completed Maneesh Sharma's next for Yash Raj Films but the actor had opted out of the Maneesh Sharma movie because of other commitments. Shahid Kapoor announced via Twitter that the filming began on November 2, 2012. The film was expected to be completed till Feb 2013 but due to date issues it was completed in March 2013.

Trailer

The trailer of Phata Poster Nikhla Hero released on the 14th of July. Trailer has crossed 2 million views on YouTube. Upon release of the trailer, it was received very well by critics and its audience.

Music

Music is composed by Pritam with lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil and Amitabh Bhattacharya. The first song Tu Mere Agal Bagal Hai released on the 26th of July. The song has been sung by Mika Singh. The film has five tracks.Dhating Naach is a item number featuring Nargis Fakhri and Hey Mr DJ is a club song sung by Benny Dayal, Shefali Alvares &Shalmali Kholgade. The song Rang Sharbaton Ka is sung by Atif Aslam and Chinmayi.

The first two tracks were released exclusively on the music streaming service Saavn

Plot

The movie "Boys Toh Boys Hain" is based on the lines of the celebrated comic book but set in Delhi instead of River dale. Policegiri is a 2013 Indian Hindi comedy cop film. The film produced by T. P. Aggarwal and Rahul Aggarwal marks the Bollywooddebut of popular Tamil director K.S. Ravikumar. The film features Sanjay Dutt, Prachi Desai and Prakash Raj in the lead roles. The theatrical trailer was released on 28 May 2013, and the film released on 5 July 2013.

The film is the official remake of the 2003 Tamil film Saamy, directed by Hari starring Vikram and Trisha Krishnan in the lead.

Plot

A cop named DCP Rudra is transferred to a new police station. As the city is riddled with crime and corruption, he decides to bring law and order back for which he has to go against Nagori Subramaniam the local mafia. He does not believe in the system of going by the book and instead fights fire with fire. Then he continues to confront with the villain and starts the cat and mouse chases between them and at lasts hero kills villain.

Production

The movie was rumoured to be called Thanedaar - Part 2, referring to a previous hit movie of Sanjay Dutt did during his younger days. However Dutt did not feel comfortable with the movie backing on the success of Thanedaar, considering the fact that the story was not written keeping in mind the original Thanedaar. 

Furthermore the directors and producers of the original Thanedaar were different. Subsequently Sanjay Dutt suggested to brainstorm for another name. He suggested Policegiri and the unit was happy to call this movie Policegiri. Policegiri was actually not a word in use but something Sanjay Dutt created.

Soundtrack

The soundtrack album was composed by Himesh Reshammiya and Meet Bros Anjjan. The music rights was bought by T-Series. Lyrics were penned by Shabbir Ahmed and Aslam Lashkariya.

Critical response

The film received extremely poor reviews from critics. VjMOVIEws noted that, "Except some funky dialogues,there is nothing to write home about. By all measures, the movie appeals only to the audience who have got used to the tonic prescribed by Kollywood.".

Box office

Policegiri opened to average collections. Policegiri collected 0.99 crores in its opening day. Then it went on to collect more than 12.50 Crores in its opening week. Due to such bad business, Box Office India declared the film a 'Disaster'.
